______ Rebie Ramoso is an internationally-recognized artist and award-winning designer based in Manila, Philippines. Her artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Belgium, the United States, as well as the Philippines. In 2020, she was featured in the Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea, the Italian Atlas of Contemporary Art. In 2021, she won Bronze for Accessories Design and Honorable Mention for Textile Design and Sustainable Fashion at the 15th International Design Awards in the United States. In 2015, she received the Special Merit award at the 5th Annual All Women Online Art Exhibition by Light Space and Time Gallery in the United States. With a formal training in both Painting and Psychology, Ramoso successfully merges both disciplines in her practice, creating artworks that are both vessels and vehicles of an intimate understanding of what it means to be human. Her pieces are stories of people captured through conversations and careful observation of her subjects, and crafted in hyper-realistic digital paintings. Ramoso looks forward to using the versatility of new media in presenting a new piece for the Florence Biennale; and to establish meaningful ties with fellow artists, designers, and art enthusiasts. |
